Akons Smack That with Eminem featured on the R&B singer Konvicted upcoming album breaks Billboard record history after the singer/producers latest single went from No. 95 to No. 7 on last weeks Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
Akons upcoming album Konvicted will be in stores on November 21, meanwhile 67,000 downloads were sold in its first week. Smack That became one the top 10 fastest growing songs at Top 40 radio and is the No. 1 most added song at rhythmic and crossover. The singer/songwriter/producers Konvicted, almost entirely produced by Akon, features guest appearances by hip-hop/rapper Eminem ( who also produced Smack That), T-Pain, Snoop Dogg and Styles P.
In other Celebrity news, Akons life story will take the shape of a movie, called Illegal Alien, in which 8 Mile star Mekhi Phifer is lined-up to play the R&B singer. (more…)
